It figures that, as soon as I buy a 500GB hard drive to back up my MacBook Pro, it dies. Sigh...it's 1 am. I should just go to bed, but a year's worth of student's funds is sitting here looking somewhat bricked...

Perhaps my inquisitive nature and recent..."modding"...of various things is to blame. Man...we'll see. I'm reinstalling Tiger right now...and it looks like it will be successful. I don't see any errors on my HDD which is good...but I wonder what will happen when a Mac DOWNgrades. Bleh. I can't think about it right now...I'm sleeping on the couch tonight because of this...goddammit.

Well...All my art is backed up. All my Music is backed up. All my programs are backed up. SO I'm not TOO nervous...but still. It shakes your trust. This notebook is my life...

UPDATE: GOING TO BED.
Well...something is def funky. I'm running Tiger as if I had JUST BOUGHT THIS THING. bleh. But it's only saying I have MINIMAL space available on the drive...? as much as I had before the crash. But none of the files are showing up. Thankfully...wherever they are...they ARE BACKED UP. TWICE. I'll probably format this drive though. I think it's sick. If I can get Leopard back up and running I should even be able to pick up EXACTLY as I left off, thanks to time machine. If not, I'll still be able to just start a new life with all my old files and all...but in the meantime...ol' Lappy will be sitting out for a while I think. GODDAMMIT I DIDN'T NEED THIS SHIT.
