Konami is suing Harmonix over Rockband. WELL DONE. I recommended this about a year ago. GO find a copy of EGM from August 07. My letter is there, ranting about the awful prospect of Rockband, which is despise so much more than brainless GH.

Some pointers:
-Konami is, by law, obligated to sue in order to bring protect their patents.
-Konami worked with Harmonix on several games prior.
-Konami has sued, obviously, due to Rockband's announced Japanese release.
-Activision and GH PAID KONAMI in order to use their patent, after a court decided such. Harmonix has done no such thing, and it's already been proven in court that GH is similar enough to GF that it warrants paying Konami royalties. And we all know how similar RB is GH...
-The court date is in Eastern Texas District LOL. [link]

You like music? Wish you could play music? GET A GUITAR. If you just want a fucking Gold Star for being as good as everyone else at a mildly difficult mass appeal puzzle game, go get GH or RB. Being good at RB doesn't make you good at games. Me, an average IIDX player, was able to beat the guitar AND drum sections of RB's "Hand That Feeds". on EXPERT. on my FIRST TIME PLAYING THE GAME. If you really like music go be musical with a real instrument...

...You like video games? Wish you could get better at them and challenge yourself without fooling yourself? GET IIDX. Hell, even GF&DM doesn't fool you into thinking any HUMAN could play this music on a real guitar. A lifelong learning curve will keep you entertained and practicing for years to come, as well as intuitive updates and a unabashed sense of beauty and design in motion, not fat polygon dudes... It's a GAME, so embrace the medium.
